This spring, we’re offering a limited number of Butterflyway Plant Kits for residents of Toronto, Scarborough and Mississauga. Get yours while supplies last!
All kits must be picked up in person (see below for details)
Each kit includes everything you need to welcome butterflies and bees home to your garden: wildflowers, planting instructions and species pocket guides. You also get a garden sign — official recognition that you’re part of the Butterflyway Project!
Butterflyway Project volunteers in seven Canadian cities have been planting pollinator patches since 2017. Now hundreds more households can join! Butterfly-YAY!
Each $70 kit includes:
10 native wildflower plants* in 10 cm pots
Two pocket guides (wild bees and native wildflowers)
All-season Butterflyway garden sign (20cm x 30cm) and H-frame stake
A spot on the national Butterflyway Project map
*Species include: butterfly milkweed, black-eyed Susan, licorice mint, pearly everlasting, Virginia mountain mint and wild bergamot. These will provide the energy-rich nectar and protein-filled pollen that bees and butterflies need. And they’re adapted to local climate and soils, so they’re easier to grow and maintain.
